A warm welcome awaits you at The Old Post Office Café & Gallery, a charming artisan retreat nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Set in the picturesque village of Kincraig, just a stone’s throw from the River Spey and Loch Insh, our café combines a passion for food and art with a Mediterranean twist and a touch of Scottish flair. Owned and run by the Vastano family, alongside our dedicated team, we create savoury moments with freshly sourced local ingredients, ensuring every bite and sip reflects our commitment to quality.
A Coffee Lover’s Paradise
The Old Post Office Café Gallery is a small, family-run business built around a shared love of food, art and community.
Toni brings a lifetime of experience from running successful restaurant kitchens, while Ann, a landscape artist, has worked prolifically from her Highland studio for over 30 years, drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape.
For many years, the idea of combining Ann’s love of art with Toni’s passion for cooking had been quietly imagined. When the opportunity arose to create something new in the village of Kincraig, it felt like a natural progression.
As a result, The Old Post Office Café Gallery was born, a welcoming space where good food, creativity and Highland hospitality come together.
Our Menu

Sandwiches
Focaccia or bagel sandwiches with a variety of fillings, including vegetarian and vegan options.
Soups
A daily choice of homemade soups, perfect for cooler Highland days.
Highland Baking
A wide selection of homemade cakes, scones and tray bakes, alongside the café’s much-loved freshly made doughnuts served with Nutella dip.
Coffee & Drinks
Italian coffee, speciality teas and a range of drinks including beer, wine and local craft beer.
Daily Specials
Daily specials are a key feature, showcasing seasonal produce with a subtle Mediterranean twist.

Craft Beers
Since June 2022, Ann Vastano has collaborated with the brewery, creating artwork for bottle labels across several of their best-selling beers. Her distinctive Highland landscape style reflects the shared connection to place, creativity and community.
Ann’s artwork has also featured on Cairngorm Brewery merchandise and was exhibited in the brewery’s Aviemore taproom in 2024.
